Karen Saunders Art

Karen enjoys painting what she calls "moments from life," that are often just everyday scenes with an emotional theme that connects with the viewer.  Whether painting or teaching, she strives to make others smile with her art.

Karen has worked in various drawing media as well as watercolor and acrylic before deciding her true love is oils.  She is constantly learning as an artist and most recently has been getting outside of the studio walls to work en plein air as often as she can.  You'll find plenty of variety in her work, from animals and flowers, to buildings and landscapes. A former classroom teacher, Karen loves teaching as much as she does painting.  Her patience and desire to help artists of all ages, coupled with many years of teaching experience, shows in her instruction.
