Alright painting friends, in class you will hear me mention John Pototschnik frequently. He literally taught me all the nerdiness about color theory and painting with a limited palette that I know. I owe a bunch of gratitude for changing the overall look of my paintings in the past year. You will also see me recommend his book and video in one of our videos.
This is a really interesting way at evaluating your own paintings and those of others. I'm using some nuggets out of this one right now and forevermore. I recommend you do the same. I expect that if I do so there will be another jump in quality of work in the three minutes it took me to look over this article. Also, I'm going to find a copy of the book cited.
