No matter how much I strive to broaden my artistic abilities by branching into new directions, it is always satisfying to come back to my roots to create an original piece of a fantasy scene in the style of Bob Ross. While I didn't use a single Bob Ross technique in this painting, the overall feel of the piece is distinctly in the Bob Ross style. I don't shy away from that.

This scene is an idealized peaceful space, where I can envision myself painting away the days, capturing the mountains as the season changes, light changes and my skills change.

The only thing missing out of this painting is my field easel, set up to paint the morning sun on those grasses.
