I lived for several years in the Rockies of Colorado, having been stationed at Fort Carson, CO, twice in my 22 years in the Army. Mountains are a favorite subject of mine, so from time to time I'll do a live painting demonstration to promote some of our upcoming events.

This particular painting was painted in January 2024 at Cult Classic Brewing Company in Stevensville, MD, far from anywhere that might have peaks like these, during a live painting demonstration to promote an upcoming Bob Ross class at the Brewery. It was delightful to be painting is such a great space and talking with curious folks who stopped by to watch the process.
