Painting live on scene en plein air has it's challenges. One of them is finding the right subject - but this one was laid out right in front of me. Those five trees overlooking the creek in ElDorado Canyon State Park in Colorado practically called out to me to paint them, and the golden colored creek was reflecting a pretty unique color!

Karen snapped a photo of me while I was painting this one, perched on a rocky hillside ovelooking the creek.

This painting puts me in a happy place.
