I got my second commissioned piece done. A lady in Charleston, SC asked me to paint this for a friend of her's that lives here in Indiana.

I apologize for not posting anything for a little bit. I have been working on a painting I was commissioned to do for a young lady in the area. She liked the light house painting we did in a class and asked if I could include a pirate ship. The only thing left is to place the skull and cross bones in the flag, otherwise it is complete.

What do you do when you are still learning where to layout your paints on your pallet? You learn to write backwards and engrave the paint colors on the bottom side of the pallet itself and then color them black.

Sheena and I are spending the weekend at Mom's. Mom was my audience of 1 to watch me paint this scene on a 12 X 12 canvas. Old standby, a mountain, a lake and happy trees. Mom now owns 2 of my paintings and laughed at what I said as I painted. "You talk like Bob Ross." Yes we painted in the garage. LOL
